Hioki LR8410-20 Offers

Here is the new HIOKI multichannel wireless recording system with Bluetooth® technology!

The new HIOKI LR8410-20 wireless recording station captures data from remotely installed recording modules wirelessly. Two types of recording modules offer measurement and recording capabilities for voltage, temperature, resistance, and humidity. Each station can control up to seven recording modules (for a total of 105 channels), and data is recorded using a high-speed sampling process that scans all channels every 100 ms.

Wireless technology enables the recording of more than 100 data channels in applications where using a conventional recorder would be challenging, such as at heights where wiring is complex or inside secured control panels. Since the recording modules can be placed right next to the system being measured, the use of long cables and the complexity of connections are minimized. The new LR8410-20 greatly expands the potential of the multichannel recorder.

Features

  • Wireless acquisition of multichannel measurement data: The LR8410-20 incorporates Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing it to collect data from measurement units located remotely. Data can be transmitted and received between an LR8410-20 and recording modules placed up to 30 m (100') away (in a straight line). This feature is particularly useful for taking measurements in locations where it would be difficult to run wiring to connect a sensor to a conventional measuring instrument. Measuring multiple locations simultaneously with a conventional recorder requires long cables connecting the recorder to each sensor, increasing the risk of measurement interruptions and noise. The new HIOKI data recorder reduces and shortens wiring, thereby improving the measurement environment and efficiency.
  • Data acquisition from up to seven measurement units with a single LR8410-20: One LR8410-20 can control up to seven measurement units, enabling the collection of up to 105 data channels. Measuring different locations with a conventional recorder produces data with varying time characteristics. However, since the LR8410-20 can control up to seven recording modules, it is possible to take measurements at multiple remote locations while maintaining the same time series. In addition, the shortest recording interval of the LR8410-20 is 100 ms (1/10 s) and can be used with all 105 channels.
  • Easy setup with Quick Set Navigator: The LR8410-20 incorporates HIOKI's Quick Set Navigator, which explains setup operations on the instrument's screen so that even novice users can prepare it for measurement. When powered on, a simple operation allows the LR8410-20 to automatically detect and register measurement units within its communication range. Even without data communication knowledge, the user can begin taking measurements immediately. The LR8410-20 also automatically detects and displays measurement units located within its communication range.

Due to Bluetooth® license restrictions, the LR8410-20 is only available in EU countries, the United States, Canada, and Japan (as of May 28, 2013).
