For example, even elite athletes need to take precautions while practicing their sports in extreme heat conditions. Monitoring the Heat Index (HI) and the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) help you to respond to these conditions, providing plenty of water, rest and shade!

The Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is a measure of heat stress in direct sunlight. Here, temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle and cloud cover (solar radiation) are calculated. This differs from the Heat Index, which calculates temperature and humidity for shady areas. The Triplett HS10 monitors indoor/outdoor heat index, as well as wet bulb globe temperature to keep you aware of ever-changing conditions to help limit the danger of heat-related injury.
