The TPI 285 is a compact True RMS clamp-on DMM built for HVAC/R technicians. With Bluetooth LE it pairs with the TPI View app, so you can test amperage draw on blower motors under normal operating conditions with the furnace door closed, instead of wrestling it open in poor light. True RMS delivers precise voltage and amperage readings, In-Rush Current measurement captures motor start-up, and Non-Contact Voltage detection through the jaw adds safety and convenience.

A backlit dual display keeps readings clear in any lighting, and the meter also handles Frequency with Duty Cycle, Min/Max/Avg recording, Temperature, Capacitance, and DC microamps. Rated CAT IV 600 V for demanding environments, the TPI 285 works with the TPI View app to display live readings, save measurements, and create GPS-tagged reports you can email or print to the optional A711BT printer.
