The HotRod safety screwdriver is a unique tool that gives a positive indication to the user when the blade comes in contact with a live circuit. This tool also has a non-contact voltage indicator built into the butt end of the handle.
How it works
When the blade comes in contact with a 50 or 60 Hz live signal from the power system it causes the LEDs to light in the handle.
When direct access to a conductor is not available, the butt end of the tool can be used to detect voltage without conductive contact.
