The Tasco CMT24DS Circuit Tracer and Mapper is a unique and game-changing tester and wire tracer, which enables you to trace multiple circuits and their branches at the same time. This circuit tracer mapper system greatly reduces man-hours spent when locating branch connections of electrical circuits. The Tasco CMT24DS maps a 24-circuit panel and is suitable for residential or smaller buildings.
Features
Why this product is so revolutionary? Traditional wire and circuit testers let you trace one circuit at a time making work in a big buildings a very long task. The CMT24SD comes with 24 clamps, and each of them has a different identification number. This means you can trace up to 24 circuits or identify up to 24 breakers in a panel all at the same time. Moreover, a probe recognizes a digital signal without touching electrical conductor. Because the signal is digital, it does not cause any interference when you trace either electrical or LAN network cables. How does CMT24DS work? Let's say you want to identify breakers in a panel and the circuits got to a two different floors. You clamp around wires in the breaker panel right next to breakers. You turn on the signal transmitter and then you or your fellow electrical technician walks around and inserts probe into outlets. The digital signal transmitted via a clamp is identified by the probe, and it actually shows, as a number on that probe. Thus, when you see number 5 on the probe, the same number corresponds to the clamp number 5 at the breaker panel. Isn't that easier than using traditional wire tracer to identify one circuit at a time and spending a lot of time walking around a building? The Tasco circuit tracer mapper comes in 3 different versions:
CMT24DS, CMT42DS and CMT84DS, with 24, 42 or 84 clamps respectively. You can chose a proper circuit mapper for the size of your job. For all electricians, this is probably the biggest invention since the bread slicer was created. This might be an exaggeration, but it really gives you an idea how great this product is, and how much time it will save you.
