Si2 Camera Update Instructions

How to update your Si2 camera

The Si2 camera can be updated using the Over The Air (OTA) update feature (Cloud based). To update your camera, please follow the instructions in the drop down menu below. Make sure that you read all the steps before attempting the update.

Requirements:

  • Ensure that the battery is fully charged. You will not receive any warning or message before starting the update.
  • Connect the camera to a stable Wi-Fi network that is unrestricted, or to a network where you know that your device can communicate with the Acoustic Viewer (cloud).
  • Make sure that the camera is paired with Acoustic Viewer (cloud).

Download Instructions:

  • 1. Tap the settings menu button to access device info and find the camera's initial firmware version at the bottom of the screen.
  • 2. Please keep your camera on for 10 to 20 minutes. The download process will start automatically once the acoustic viewer recognizes your camera.
  • 3. Wait for the download to complete (this will vary depending on your network speed). You can track the progress of the download in the camera's Device info label at the bottom of the screen. The percentage of the process will be displayed.
  • *NOTE: Please be aware that the download percentage displayed on the screen does not update automatically. To see the latest progress, tap on the back arrow to switch to the live view. Then, go back to the device info screen. The download will continue running in the background even if you switch screens or perform other actions.
  • 4. When the download is completed, the device info will display ...100%. Now you can restart the camera. To restart the camera, first turn it off by long-pressing the power button until it turns red. Wait until the Red LED light stops glowing, then turn it back on by short-pressing the button until it turns green.

Installation:

  • 1. When turning on the camera, the device screen displays that the update is being installed.
  • 2. Wait until the installation is completed, this process takes around 10 minutes.
