The FLIR E96 is our first pistol-grip camera with 640 × 480 thermal resolution so inspectors can survey high-voltage, hazardous targets safely and quickly diagnose electrical and mechanical failures. The FLIR E96 offers complete coverage of near and distant targets through a range of lens options. Pair the E96 with a FLIR FlexView™ dual field-of-view lens to instantly switch from wide-area to telephoto scanning in one push of a button. The onboard FLIR Inspection Route runs pre-planned routes to help inspectors stay organized when surveying large or multiple locations. FLIR Ignite provides automatic uploading of E96 images directly from the camera to the cloud for easy, secure storage and sharing.
For hardworking professionals in predictive maintenance, electrical, and building inspection, the most valuable tools are the ones that increase work efficiency and help them identify potential problems before they lead to expensive repairs. Our Exx-Series models are designed and built for a range of applications, allowing you to perform the below tasks with optimal efficiency.
Features
Flir Autocal™ Lenses
FLIR E76, E86, and E96 camera are compatible with all our interchangeable AutoCal lenses. The camera automatically recognizes when a new lens is attached and launches a wizard to begin auto-calibrating the camera with the lens—no need to send the camera in for service. This helps ensure the camera always produces high quality images and precise thermal measurements.

The Exx-Series And Flir Thermal Studio Pro
Empowered with reporting solutions to streamline inspections
Exx-Series cameras now come with our exclusive Inspection Route option already enabled. Combined with FLIR reporting, plug-in, and cloud options, this is thermal imaging logistics at its best. If you regularly check the condition of a lot of equipment and components over the course of a day, FLIR Inspection Route can make your life much easier. Let your camera lead you to predefined inspection points, and collect images and data in a more structured, logical workflow.
Build your roadmap in FLIR Thermal Studio Pro software with the Route Creator plugin. Include as many inspection targets as needed and organize them for maximum efficiency. Once you export the route plan to the Exx camera, you’ll be ready to go. The predefined route guides your on-site movement to each inspection asset, automatically collecting and organizing saved images. Store them securely and keep everything in order by uploading automatically to FLIR Ignite cloud. Access images and data easily from the cloud, share them with colleagues and clients, and import findings seamlessly into FLIR Thermal Studio Pro.
Upload Thermal Images with FLIR Ignite™ Cloud Solution (sold separately)
Improve your team’s efficiency and capabilities with the FLIR Ignite cloud solution (sold separately), a new feature that's now included on FLIR Exx-Series cameras. Capture precise images with your industrial thermography camera and look back on them with ease and clarity. Using Ignite, you can directly upload, organize, and share images from your camera via Wi-Fi, ensuring your data is safe in one place and easily accessible from any device.
Perform Faster Inspections with Inspection Route (sold separately)
Pre-planned routes can improve survey efficiencies, helping users inspect dozens of electrical and mechanical targets in a logical manner and maintain organized inspection data and reports. The new Exx-Series makes this possible through the built-in FLIR Inspection Route mode. Inspection Route runs a pre-defined list of targets that are organized for maximum efficiency.
This list is first created in FLIR Thermal Studio Pro (sold separately) using the FLIR Route Creator plugin and then downloaded to the camera. By ensuring that nothing is missed and that all inspection results are organized from the start, this suite of FLIR inspection software speeds up surveys, improves organization, and simplifies reporting.
