SC640 is a loaded clamp meter that is versatile, and durable and features all electrical measurements HVAC/R pros use every day, along with features like True RMS, Inrush current, capacitance, temperature, duty cycle, and microamps DC. Plus, this multimeter features lead storage, a swivel head, a test lead holder, a heavy-duty magnetic strap, a jaw flashlight, and a backlight on the dial, so a technician can easily choose the right measurement in poorly lit spaces. It displays voltage and amperage readings on the big dual backlit LCD that are easily read, even in low light conditions.

The SC640 clamp meter include more accurate VAC and AAC readings on variable frequency drives with True RMS sensing technology, measuring the starting amp draw of a compressor with the Inrush current feature, using the clamp jaw light to easily light up the test area, and taking measurements with one hand using the single test lead holder for added safety. Test leads come with removable gold-plated tips to connect with Fieldpiece accessory heads. The SC640 meter is built to withstand the rigors of HVACR with high-impact plastic and a display you can read in very hot or cold environments.

Expandability
The Fieldpiece meter SC640 is compatible with all Fieldpiece Accessory Heads. With Fieldpiece Accessory Heads, you can measure any available parameter, and read the measurement on your new meter's display in real time. Just set the range to VDC and press the RANGE button until mV is displayed. Remove the probe tips of your test leads, and connect your accessory head.
