The SC440 Fieldpiece HVAC/R clamp meter is fully compliant with the Third Edition of the UL61010-1, which is why the SC440's probes come with sheaths to cover all but the very tip of test leads, resulting in safer electrical measurements. The Fieldpiece SC440 essential clamp meter has virtually every parameter for electrical and thermal HVAC/R testing in one meter.
Speaking of electrical measurements, this meter provides real RMS measurements of AC voltage and current, a necessity for accurate current and voltage readings of the variable frequency drives powering compressor motors. The Fieldpiece Clamp Meter SC440 includes a magnetic strap for hands-free operation, an automatic light built into the clamp jaw for illuminating dark work areas, and a backlit dual-row LCD display.
