The Rapid Rail Sensor Technology on the Fieldpiece JL3LC pipe clamp is specifically designed to work on HVACR electrically conductive pipes to complete the circuit and stabilize immediately, offering direct, reliable and secure connections even on wet or damp pipes. The JL3LC temperature clamp uses the pipe itself to complete the circuit. The Rapid Rail Sensor Technology delivers accurate readings without interference from ambient air, dust, paint, corrosion or moisture on the pipe surface.
Because the pipe is the thermocouple junction, all you need is enough contact for conductivity. This means that the Fieldpiece large pipe clamp can sit on an angle or on a bend without loss of performance. There is a beeper and an LED to indicate whether or not the circuit is closed and a temperature is being measured. A double beep and yellow LED = Open Circuit, and a Single beep and green LED = Closed circuit. If you are not getting a measurement you can slightly rotate the clamp back and forth to cut through contaminants on the pipe or use the emery cloth to slightly clean the pipe. The JL3LC pipe clamp is also compact with an easy-to-open design that allows for single-hand use - super handy in those difficult to reach locations.
The Job Link System JL3LC pipe clamp has a 1000 feet (305 meters) of wireless range communication with both the Job Link App and the SMAN Refrigerant Manifolds, SM380V and SM480V. The JL3LC large pipe clamp is ruggedly built, water resistant with an IP67 rating, and an oil-resistant plastic all designed to handle the harsh workplace environment.
