This Type-K probe features an exposed junction and an ABS plastic handle. It's suitable for monitoring flat surfaces.
With an angled tip, the Digi-Sense 08516-64 Type-K 90° Angle Surface Probe with Mini Connector makes it simple to monitor temperatures. It's recommended for use with hot plates, furnaces, molds and other similar flat surfaces. It's made from stainless steel and designed to read temps up to 1,200°F (649°C).
