The True RMS means that you can use it to measure unusual wave forms like LED lighting and two-wire irrigation systems. LED landscape lighting requires True RMS for accurate measurements. The Pro40 digital multimeter has True RMS as well as auto ranging voltage, ohms, and current measurement. In addition, the digital multimeter includes measurements of capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, and diode function. Not only does it take most any electrical measurement you might need, but also has a built in “sniffer” non-contact voltage (NCV) detector to sense power in a cord or in an outlet.
The Pro40 true RMS digital multimeter even includes a LED headlight and a large backlit LCD display for dimly lit spaces. It comes with a rugged rubberized boot for added protection and includes full IEC 61010 and CE Safety tested to Cat III 600 volts and internal fuses for easy maintenance.
